The car was transported to Ford in Brunico 50 km north of Arabba, they were super nice, but unfortunately did not have the spare part, but ordered it for delivery on Monday. Then I just had to find out what you could do in Brunico, well cycling. I quickly found out that there are several good suggestions for some mountains that I could try.
I started with a climb to Tesselberg/Montasilone, it should be approx. 6.7 km with 8.4% it seemed manageable, but it was pretty damn hard, it started with 900 meters with 14.5% and ended with 2.2 km with 11%. It was beautiful at the top but the descent was terrible.
The next ride was a circuit that went over the Furkelpass/Passo Furcia, a beautiful circuit but I think I took another wrong turn because suddenly 23% was shown on the bike computer, I held on for 400 meters, then I had to give up and put my foot down. The rest of the tour went well and ended up at a dam or reservoir of some kind.
When I was in the Dolomites I would have liked to have had the Classic Climbs of The Dolomites diploma, which is obtained for having climbed 10 of the most classic climbs in the Dolomites, unfortunately I only reached 8 of the 10, the last of the 8 I climbed from here in Brunico/Bruneck a fantastic trip and a super climb to Passo delle Erbe/Würzjoch approx. 15 km and approx. 7% on average, but with a 2.5 km descent approx. In the middle of the climb.
Next day the car was repaired so this was my last trip on this absolutely amazing journey, I will definitely be back.
My routes:
Climbs:
Tesselberg/Montasilone
