The Harz is one of the most cozy and romantic things for me, I don't really know why, maybe it's just like that when you approach the age of 60.
Fairly hard to get going after 4 days of drinking at Copenhell and a long drive. So it didn't do one of my planned rides, but instead a route that Strava made for me, with short gravel sections, this was my second gravel ride ever, it was exciting enough, I walked more than I cycled on the gravel sections.
I was wildly excited when I saw the concrete pavement in the forest, but it quickly became clear that the holes faced the wrong way, so my 35 mm tires were constantly falling into them at the same time as I was struggling with the gradient percentages.
See the ride on Strava, but it cannot be recommended. You should take the normal route to Wurmberg which is very nice and calm, but I still got to do the fantastic downhill and I didn't meet a soul, "maybe Lene's" my late dear, who said slow down.
