Nago-Torbole, TAA 2022

From one beautiful lake to another. After Lake Como, I decided to visit Lake Garda, one of my favorite places in Italy. I chose the town of Nago-Torbole, at the northern end of the lake 170 km east of Lecco. Here you are closest to the big mountains, in the Italian Prealps. The campsite I stayed at was pure luxury at DKK 300 per night, but there was also direct access to the lake, spa, pool, washing machines and I could also fill up my empty gas bottle.

I had long wanted to go up and see the lake Lag di Tenno, which looked fantastically beautiful on the advertisements, so on my first trip, I chose to look for myself and it was so very true, I have rarely seen such a beautiful lake. The actual trip up to the lake was also completely crazy as I chose to drive on some small roads and gravel steps.

The next day offered a nice climb to Santa Barbara about 15 km. approx. 8% when you remember to turn sharply left up to the nice little bar with no name, which serves good beer with chips. The Santa Barbara climb is also called Monte Velo, freely translated the bicycle mountain, a fantastic name for a mountain.

Before I had to move on, I wanted to climb some few old acquaintances, first Monte Baldo, a wonderful climb of about 23 km with an average of 6%, the climb is divided into three segments that are terminated by a small drop, after each fall there is a very steep section, at the top there is a good restaurant with a nice view.

Now I couldn't wait any longer, my nightmare Punta Veleno, a small climb of a measly 8 km. since i first tried this, excuse the term satan, i've been thinking about coming back in better shape and with a better gearing. So now I was standing here, with a hope that I could ride up this climb which was 5 km. with an average of 15.6% and a kilometer of 17% and the relief was great when I reached the top without setting down my feet.
